EC number: 271-240-3 | CAS number: 68526-92-1 A complex combination of hydrocarbons produced by the distillation of products from the hydrogenation of isotridecanal from the hydroformylation of dodecene. It consists predominantly of C10-12 olefins and paraffins and C13 alcohols and aldehydes and boils in the range of approximately 160°C to 253°C (320°F to 487°F).

Description of key information
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the activated sludge, respiration inhibition test was not conducted as there is no emission to a sewage treatment plant expected.

In a supporting study investigating whether the test material may be volatile under the test conditions required for an activated sludge respiration inhibition test (Clarke, 2008), a known amount of test material (1.0055 g) was weighed onto a watch glass and a stream of compressed air passed over the test material. The weight of test material remaining on the watch glass was determined after 30, 60, 90, 120 and 180 minutes and a loss of 96% of test material was detected after 180 minutes.
It is concluded that the volatility of the test material might hamper the required test conditions for conducting an activated sludge, respiration inhibition test.
