Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study, the test material was determined to undergo a reaction from approximately 128 °C (401 K) at 101.9 kPa. As the test material reacted, no value for boiling temperature could be determined. The reaction products showed no significant signs of boiling up to 400 °C (673 K).

Additional information

The key study was conducted in line with GLP and the standardised guidelines OECD 103 and EU Method A.2. It was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria detailed by Klimisch (1997).

The boiling point of the test material was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry.

Aliquots of the test material were added to aluminium crucibles and heated to 400 °C. Analysis of the thermographic data led to the conclusion that the test material was self reacting at elevated temperatures.
