First-aid measures

General: Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If experiencing respiratory symptoms: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Skin contact: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water, carbon dioxide (CO2), powder and foam.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use a heavy water stream.

Explosion hazard,:avoid dust formation, avoid dust to spread.

Hazardous decomposition products in case of fire: toxic and corrosive vapours. Metal oxides (Mo), Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Nitrous fumes.

Precautionary measures fire: Eliminate all ignition sources if safe to do so.

Firefighting instructions: Fight fire remotely due to the risk of explosion.

Protection during firefighting: Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection.

Other information: Avoid (reject) fire-fighting water to enter environment. Do not allow run-off from fire-fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:

Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid dust to spread. Use personal protective equipment

Absorb spillage to prevent material damage. Avoid dust to spread. Only qualified personnel equipped with suitable protective equipment may intervene.

Environmental precautions:

Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Avoid release to the environment.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Contain and collect as any solid. Avoid dust to spread. Spilled product must never be returned to the original container for recycling.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:

Handle and open container with care. Open only in well ventilated area away from all ignition sources. Keep away from ignition sources (including static discharges). Proper grounding procedures to avoid static electricity should be followed. Avoid dust formation. Avoid dust to spread. Handle product only in closed system or provide appropriate exhaust ventilation. In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection.

Hygiene measures:

Do not eat, drink or smoke in areas where product is used. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking or smoking and when leaving work. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Separate working clothes from town clothes. Launder separately.

Storage conditions:

Keep only in the original container in a cool,well-ventilated place away from oxidizing agents. Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from ignition sources (including static discharges). Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.Store in dry, cool, well-ventilated area.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment:

Dust production: dust mask with filter type P3. Insufficient ventilation: wear respiratory protection. In case of dust production: protective goggles. Dustproof clothing. Head/neck protection. Gloves.

Hand protection:

Chemical resistant gloves (according to European standard NF EN 374 or equivalent)

Eye protection:

Wear tight fitting safety glasses or face shield. Safety glasses with side guards should be worn to prevent injury from airborne particles and/or other eye contact with this product

Skin and body protection:

Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye or face protection. Impervious footwear must be worn. Separate work clothes from street clothes

Respiratory protection:

Wear appropriate mask. Wear appropriate breathing apparatus if air renewal not sufficient to maintain dust/vapour under TLV

Environmental exposure controls:

Avoid direct discharge into drains. Avoid release to the environment.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal conditions. No dangerous reactions known.

Hazardous decomposition products:  toxic and corrosive vapours. Metal oxides (Mo), Carbon oxides (CO, CO2). Nitrous fumes. See also section on "Handling and Storage".

Disposal considerations

Sewage disposal recommendations: Material insoluble in water. physico-chemical treatment.

Waste disposal recommendations: This material and its container must be disposed of in a safe way, and as per local legislation. Remove to an authorized incinerator equipped with an afterburner and a flue gas scrubber. Recycling is preferred to disposal or incineration. Recycle or dispose of in compliance with current legislation.
