Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the surface tension and critical micelle concentration of the test substance, TMAC C (99.6% active), according to OECD 115 and EU A.5 Guidelines, in compliance with GLP. 1 g/L (total volume 200 mL), prepared in HPLC water, was used to determine the surface tension in 10 measurements with a tensiometer. Different concentrations of the test substance in the range of 0.05 to 10 g/L (total volume 200 mL), prepared in HPLC water, were applied for the determination of critical micelle concentration at a temperature of 20°C. Under the study conditions, the surface tension and the CMC of the test substance were determined to be 24.04 +/- 0.05 mN/m and 1 g/L respectively (Bodsch, 2008).
