First-aid measures

- General advice: Immediate medical attention is required.

- Inhalation: If breathed in, move person to fresh air. Consult a physician after significant exposure.

- Skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Immediate medical treatment is necessary as untreated wounds from corrosion of the skin heal slowly and with difficulty.

- Eye contact: Rinse with plenty of water. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse during transport. Remove contact lenses. Protect unharmed eye. Small amounts splashed into eyes can cause irreversible tissue damage and blindness.

- Ingestion: Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Take victim immediately to hospital. May cause chemical burns in mouth and throat.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Dry chemical alcohol-resistant foam.

- Specific hazards during firefighting: Treat as oil fire. Water spray may be ineffective unless used by experienced fire fighters. Do not allow run-off from firefighting to enter drains or water courses.

- Special protective equipment for fire fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

- Further information: Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains. Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. For safety reasons in case of fire, cans should be stored separately in closed containments.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation.

- Environmental precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains, inform respective authorities.

- Methods for cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g., sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust). Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

- When handling: use suitable personal protection measures.

- Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations.

- Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Avoid formation of aerosol. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Take measures to prevent the build-up of electrostatic charge. Requirements for storage.

- Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
