The substance showed no biodegradation in two ready biodegradability tests (OECD 301B & C) over 28 days (< 5% degradation). No further biodegradation tests were conducted, as based on these results it is assumed that the substance will not be biodegraded to a relevant extent in the environment and is persistent in the environment.

Due to the high log Kow and the resulting high log Koc value of 4.165 (QSPR estimations) the substance is immobile in soil and sediment according to the classification scheme of McCall et al. (1981).

A valid and reliable bioconcentration study in fish (according to OECD TG 305) which was conducted under flow through conditions, showed that the bioconcentration factor for the substance ranged from 530 to 560 (normalised to 5% lipid content 690 to 729, respectively) in common carp. Therefore, the substance is considered to be not bioaccumulative.

A hydrolysis study according to OECD 111 revealed a half life time of 259 h at 25°C and pH 7. But as no qualitative or quantitative determination of the hydrolysis products was done, it was not possible to prove that the dissipation of the substance is due to hydrolysis and not adsorption or volatility or other dissipation processes.
