In the UN Test N.4 a negative result was obtained using a 25 mm cube at 140 °C. Therefore, the substance is classified as a self-heating substance of category 2.

Furthermore, a positive result was obtained in a test using a 100 mm cube sample at 140 °C. Thus, the substance is assigned to Packing Group III. Additional tests would be required to decide for an exemption if the substance were transported in packages of not more than 3 cubic metres volume or 450 litres volume.
