- Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately.
- Move out of dangerous area.
- Keep warm and in a quiet place.
* If inhaled:
:
Provide fresh air.
If not breathing, give artificial respiration.
Keep the victim calm and in a semi-upright position.
If symptoms persist, call a physician.
In case of skin contact
:
Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
If symptoms persist, call a physician.
In case of eye contact
:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
Call a physician immediately.
If swallowed
:
Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Do NOT induce vomiting.
Call a physician immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

* Extinguishing media
- Suitable extinguishing media:
The product itself does not burn. Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local cir-cumstances and the surrounding environment.
- Unsuitable extinguishing media:
High volume water jet
* Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
- Specific hazards during firefighting:
Oxidising. Explosive when mixed with combustible material. May form toxic gases on heating or in case of fire. nitrogen oxides (NOx)
* Advice for firefighters
- Special protective equipment for firefighters:
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
- Further information:
Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.

Accidental release measures

* Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
- Personal precautions:
Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear personal protective equipment. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak.
* Environmental precautions
- Environmental precautions :
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Avoid subsoil penetration. Inform the relevant authorities if it enters sewers, aquatic envi-ronment or soil.
* Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up
- Methods for cleaning up:
Soak up with liquid binder (sand, kieselguhr, acid binder, uni-versal binder). Pick up and transfer to properly labelled containers. Adequate disposal

Handling and storage

* Precautions for safe handling
- Advice on safe handling:
Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms. Wear personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
- Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
The product itself does not burn, but it is oxidising. Normal measures for preventive fire protection.
* Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
- Requirements for storage areas and containers:
Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Protect from moisture.
- Further information on stor-age conditions:
Product is hygroscopic.
- Advice on common storage:
Keep away from combustible material. Do not store together with reducing agents. Do not store near acids.

Exposure controls / personal protection

* Control parameters
Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.
* Exposure controls
- Engineering measures
Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms.
- Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection: Recommended Filter type:Half mask with a particle filter P2 (EN 143).
Hand protection: Glove material: Protective gloves complying with EN 374. Wear suitable gloves. The choice of an appropriate glove does not only depend on its material but also on other quality features and is different from one producer to the other. The exact break through time can be obtained from the pro-tective glove producer and this has to be observed. Protective gloves have to be replaced at the first sign of dete-rioration.
Eye protection: Eye protection (EN 166). Tightly fitting safety goggles
Skin and body protection: Flame retardant, antistatic and chemical resistant protective clothing
Hygiene measures: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the ap-plication area. Keep away from food, drink and animal feedingstuffs. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray.
Protective measures : Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and safety shower. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
- Environmental exposure controls
General advice: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Avoid subsoil penetration. Inform the relevant authorities if it enters sewers, aquatic envi-ronment or soil.

Stability and reactivity

* Reactivity
Risk of violent reaction.
* Chemical stability
No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
* Possibility of hazardous reactions
- Hazardous reactions: May intensify fire; oxidiser. Contact with acids liberates toxic gas.
* Conditions to avoid
- Conditions to avoid:
Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition. Protect from frost, heat and sunlight. Protect from moisture. Product is hygroscopic.
* Incompatible materials
- Materials to avoid:
Combustible material Reducing agents Organic materials Acids
* Hazardous decomposition products
- Risk of decomposition: nitrogen oxides (NOx)
- Thermal decomposition:To avoid thermal decomposition, do not overheat.

Disposal considerations

* Waste treatment methods
- Product:
Dispose of as hazardous waste in compliance with local and national regulations.
- Contaminated packaging:
Dispose of as hazardous waste in compliance with local and national regulations.
- Waste Code:
Waste codes should be assigned by the user, preferably in discussion with the waste disposal authorities.
