1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate)is classified as an organic peroxidetype C.( See 4.13)

Flammability is an intrinsic hazard in this class.

The Self-Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT) of the substances is 35°C (reference SADT: CLP regulations 2.15.2.3 and UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria, 5th revised edition, sub-sections 28.1, 28.2, 28.3 and Table 28.3.)

1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate) is a colourless clear liquid organic peroxide with a faint odour. So: The substance is not an aerosol or a gas.

The melting point of 1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate) is far below -20 ° C.

The relative density of 1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate) is 0.8904.

The vapour pressure of 1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate) at 25°C is well below 0.01 Pa.

The partition coefficient log Pow for 1,1,4,4-tetramethylbutane-1,4-diyl bis(2-ethylperoxyhexanoate) is >6.5.

As estimation the log Pow value was calculated by extrapolation to be 7.1.
