Description of key information

In accordance with REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex XI, section 1.1.1, the performance of a test for hydrolysis as function of pH is scientifically unjustified. The study does not need to be conducted as cesium sulphate completely dissociates in water forming a cesium cation and the corresponding sulphate. Both, the cation and the anion are stable in the aquatic environment. The dissociation constant of cesium sulphate was determined according to OECD Guideline 112 with the titration method. The dissociation constant was not determinable because cesium sulphate is a strong electrolyte (see IUCLID section 4.21 Dissociation constant).
