Description of key information
The objective was to measure the water solubility of three lanolin alcohols for reporting as part of the REACH regulations. The water solubilities of Hartolan NZ, Crosterol EL Special and Argowax DCS have been tested with results ranging between 0.1 – 0.4 mg/l at 20 °C.

The determination was carried out using the flask method, Method A6 Water Solubility of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.
As expected the water solubility of each sample tested was low, between 0.1 and 0.4 mg/l.
The results for these samples can be used for other Croda products which have identical CAS numbers, raw materials and processes.
