Description of key information

Tungstic acid is described as an amorphous, yellow powder that decomposes at a relatively low temperature as it undergoes dehydration (loss of water molecules). Tungstic acid has a density of 5.5 g/cm³, with a water solubility (read-across from tungsten trioxide transformation dissolution data) of mg 62.43 W/L (at a loading of 100 mg/L and pH of 8.5).

Additional information

It is noted that tungstic acid (WO3.H2O) is the hydrated form of tungsten trioxide (WO3).
