Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

substance: 0.03 Pa at 25°C (QSAR)
silanol hydrolysis product: 9.9E-06 Pa at 25°C (QSAR)
Methanol: 12790 Pa at 20°C (measured)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.03 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A vapour pressure of 0.03 Pa at 25°C was determined for the substance and 9.9E-06 Pa at 25°C for the silanol hydrolysis product (diphenylsilanediol) using an appropriate calculation method. The results are considered to be reliable.

The measured vapour pressure of methanol is 12,790 Pa at 20°C (OECD, 2004).
