Additional information

3,9-Di-3-cyclohexen-1-yl-2,4,8,10-tetraspiro[5.5]undecane is insoluble in water ( solubility 0.00184 g/L at 20°C) and has a log Pow of 5.4 at 25°C. The substance has a low acute toxicity (LD50 oral >5000 mg/kg bw ; LD50 dermale > 5000mg/kg bw; LC50 > 1517 mg/m³ (dust) and LC50 > 6741 mg/m³ (vapour). The substance is not irritating to the skin and eyes and has no sensitising potential.

3,9-Di-3-cyclohexen-1-yl-2,4,8,10-tetraspiro[5.5]undecane was negative in all in-vitro gene mutation assays with and without metabolic activation. No toxification via metabolic activation of the parent compound is therefore expected.

The NOAEL in a repeated dose study was 300 mg/kg bw.
