Description of key information

Short description of key information on bioaccumulation potential result:
The metabolism of (-)-perillaldehyde and (-)-myrtenal occurs via both oxidation and reduction pathways.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a study performed to sound scientific principles, six male rabbits per group were administered with a 20 mL dose containing 2 g of the test substance. Urine was collected in metabolism cages over a period of three days, and the identity of metabolites and the relevant pathways were defined by TLC. The metabolism of (-)-perillaldehyde and (-)-myrtenal occurs via both oxidation and reduction pathways.
