Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
experimental dates: 15 May to 07 June 2017
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Remarks:
The study was conducted according to an internationally recognised method, and under GLP, without deviation. The substance is adequately characterised. Therefore full validation applies.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 104 (Vapour Pressure Curve)
Version / remarks:
23. Mar. 2006
Deviations:
no
Qualifier:

Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Remarks:
Landesamt für Umwelt, Wasserwirtschaft und Gewerbeaufsicht (inspected on 13 & 14 October 2014, 2010 / signed on 08 April 2015)

A graph with log VP vs. 1/T was plotted. Since the values were correlated by a linear relation, the data could be fitted by linear regression:

Slope = -2158.0

Intercept = 7.1468

Correlation Coefficient r = -0.9938

Coefficient of Determination r2 = 0.9875

The vapour pressures at 20°C and at 25°C were calculated from the regression equation (mean value, rounded for accuracy/SD):

 Vapour pressure at 20°C = 0.61 Pa

Vapour pressure at 25°C = 0.81 Pa

Conclusions:
Low volatility (based on volatility bands criteria for occupational exposure (Chesar / ECETOC TRA), << 500 Pa).
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test substance was measured under GLP according to OECD 104 / EU A4 guideline, effusion method with Knudsen cell (weight loss).

Determinations were conducted at 30, 45 and 60 °C, with triplicate measurements for each of the four cells.

The vapour pressure at 25°C of the test item was extrapolated from the regression as 0.81 Pa.

Description of key information

Low volatility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.81 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

A fully reliable experimental study, conducted according to a recognized OECD/EC method and under GLP, is available. Therefore, it is considered as a key study, and the result is retained as key data.
