Description of key information

Summarizing the findings in this chapter, the substance is rapidly degraded via hydrolysis and transformation products are formed which show a higher stability in the environment. Due to the degradation and the low partition coefficient, no potential for bioaccumulation is considered.

QSAR estimations for the identified and potential transformation products via hydrolysis and/or thermal degradation show a prolonged half-life time which is in line with the observations in the simulation study. In addition, these products show a good solubility in water and low partition coefficients in the calculations. Therefore, no, respectively negligible, exposure to sediments from these products is expected. Additionally, only low potential for bioaccumulation of these products is expected.

Overall, a potential for persistency of the substance due to the transformation products is likely.
