Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

By the deposition of product on hot surfaces, it has been shown that the product did not flame spontaneously up to 360°C, but that it was decomposed at a relatively low temperature of < 240°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

This test allows assessing the risk of inflammation of the deposition product on hot surfaces.

Samples of approximately 100 mg are deposited on plates kept at different temperatures (from 240 to 360 ° C). The test is performed twice. The behaviour of the product is observed for at least 5 min.

Because the guidelines dealing with the study of the auto-ignition of solids mention that this test should be performed in different conditions than those mentioned in this study (for example: it should be performed in a heaten oven), the validity is assessed to be "2" as "Reliable with restrictions".
