Description of key information

Experimental studies at high temperatures are waived due to polymerisation.

In a non-GLP study using the static method, vapour pressure was concluded as 319 Pa at 20.0°C. The study is disregarded due to major flaws (see study summary conclusion), and in particular the result is inconsistent with experimental vapour pressue of raw material Tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol (CAS 97-99-4: 107 Pa at 25°C in MPBPWIN v1.4 training set): the acrylate cannot be 3 times more volatile than its alcohol.

The QSAR MPBPWIN v1.43 predicts uncorrected vapour pressure estimates: 34.7, 104 and 376 Pa; 1.87, 6.92 and 20.5 kPa at 25, 40, 60, 90, 120 and 150°C, resp. By considering analogous data (experimental VP of the alcohol, and experimental VP difference between an acrylate of the same MW and its alcohol), these are corrected upwards by a factor of 3.43 into: 119 and 356 Pa; 1.29, 6.41, 23.7 and 70.3 kPa at 25, 40, 60, 90, 120 and 150°C, resp.

The corrected QSAR values are acceptable for exposure assessment and classification and labelling.
