Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

For the assessment of acute toxicity of Polychloro copper phthalocyanine (CAS 1328-53-6) to fish experimental data are available.

A GLP key study conducted similar to OECD TG 203 was performed by Colour-Chem limited (2000). Cyprinus carpio was used as a test organism. In this limit test no mortality of fish was observed at the end of the test, therefore the 96-h LC50 was determined to be higher than 100 mg/L (nominal). In this study Tween-80 was used as a vehicle. The concentration of the vehicle was 1 g/L.

There are further experimental data which support the key result. Additionally, two non-GLP tests conducted according to EPA-660/3-75-009 were performed by Sun Chemical Corporation (1978). In a test conducted with Lepomis macrochirus the 96-h LC50 was determined to be 752.4 mg/l (nominal, rep. no.: 11506-62-01). Whereas in a second test conducted with Oncorhynchus mykiss as a test organism the 96-h LC50 was determined to be 355.6 mg/L (nominal, rep. no.: 11506-03-02). No vehicle was used in both studies.

The test concentrations were not analytically verified in all studies.

Overall, based on the available experimental data for the test substance, it is considered that the CAS 1328-53-6 is with high probability acutely not harmful to fish.
