First-aid measures

Inhalation: If inhaled, remove from contaminated area. Apply artificial respiration if not breathing. If symptoms develop seek medical attention.
Skin: Wash affected area thoroughly with soap and water. If symptoms develop seek medical attention.
Eyes: If contact with the eye(s) occur, wash with copious amounts of water, holding eyelid(s) open. Take care not to rinse contaminated water into the non-affected eye. If irritation develops and persists, seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Immediately wash out mouth with water. Seek medical attention.
Most important symptoms, both acute and delayed: Gastro-intestinal symptoms are the first symptoms following high oral intake of Copper compounds. Vomiting may occur. The most critical organ for delayed effects of “Copper” excess is the liver. Nose/lung irritation may occur after inhalation of dusts.
Advice to doctor: Treat symptomatically.
First aid facilities: Normal washroom facilities.
Other information: For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media: Use an extinguishing medium suitable for the surrounding fire e.g. water, foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder.
Protective Equipment: Full protective clothing and a self contained breathing apparatus.
Hazardous Combustion Products: In the event of fire, noxious fumes of Sulphur Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, oxides of Nitrogen and under some circumstances cyanide may be released. If the material enters rivers, water course or sewers the emergency services should be informed.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: In case of accidental spillage; avoid dust formation and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Environmental Precautions: Do not allow material to enter drains, waterways or sewers. If this material enters the waterways; contact the Environmental Protection Authority or your local Waste Management Authority.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Seal all wastes in vapour tight labelled plastic containers for eventual disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid generating dust. Use smallest possible amounts in designated areas with adequate ventilation. Have emergency equipment (for fires, spills, leaks, etc.) readily available. Label containers. Keep containers closed when not in use. Wear appropriate protective equipment to prevent inhalation, skin and eye contact. Ensure a high level of personal hygiene is maintained when using this product. That is; always wash hands before eating, drinking, smoking, or using the toilet.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry well-ventilated area; out of direct sunlight and moisture. Store in labelled, corrosion-resistant containers. Keep containers tightly closed. Store away from bases, water, and other incompatible materials. Have appropriate fire extinguishers available in and near the storage area.
Specific end uses: Check the identified uses in {section 1 of this Safety Data Sheet. ]#########

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: Use with good general ventilation. If dusts are produced local exhaust ventilation should be used.
2. Organisational protection measures
3. Hand protection: Wear rubber or neoprene gloves.
4. Feet protection: Boots sufficient to prevent contact.
5. Body protection: Apron, sleeves, coveralls sufficient to prevent contact.
6. Eye protection: Goggles or full-face shield.
7. Respiratory protection: Where sufficient ventilation is not available, avoid breathing dust by wearing an approved P1 or P2 particulate filter respirator.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: N/A
Stability: Stable under normal conditions.
Conditions to avoid: Extremes of temperature and dusty conditions.
Materials to avoid: Acids.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Sulphur Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, oxides of Nitrogen, Cyanide.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Decomposes at a high temperature.
Hazardous polymerisation: Will not occur.
