Administrative data

First-aid measures

- Following inhalation:

Remove to fresh air. Keep patient warm. Seek immediately medical advice.

- Following skin contact:

Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with plenty of water.

- Following eye contact:

Wash immediately with plenty of water for 15 min or Diphotérine®. Alert a physician.

- Following ingestion:

Do not make the victim vomit. Do not give anything orally. Alert a physician.

- Instructions for the physician: Treat according to symptoms. Keep the victim under medical surveillance.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

CO2, powder, foam.

- Special risks : toxic gases when in contact with fire : COx, HBr.

- Inadvisable media : water jet

- Special protective equipment for fire-fighting : Wear a complete protection equipment and a self-contained respiratory apparatus.

- Other information: Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.

Accidental release measures

Person related precautionary measures : Use personal protective equipment. Avoid breathing dusts. Ensure adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition. Evacuate personnel to safe areas.

Environmental-protection measures: Wear gloves, mask with cartridge (ABP) adapted for chemical uses

Procedures for cleaning / absorption: Keep out of drains, prevent entry in natural environment; Recover with an appropriate material, clean the place with an absorbing product and put the whole in a container. Ventilate the place and wash the spreaded zone.

Avoid exposure to dusts.

STORAGE

Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment:

 Respiratory protection: Dust respirator, Cartridge (AB+P) mask or a self contained respiratory apparatus

 Eye protection: Chemical safety goggles

 Hand protection: Suitable gloves (nitrile, latex, vinyle) adapted to chemical uses (EN374)

 Body protection : Standard working suit

Industrial hygiene : Wear the protective equipment. Handle under fumehood. Do not eat nor drink at the workplace. Wash hands and face after handling.
