First-aid measures

Eyes:       Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid immediately.

Skin:       Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes, while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get Medical aid immediately.

Ingestion:       Get medical aid immediately. Wash mouth out with water.

Inhalation:       Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.

Fire-fighting measures

5.1. Extinguishing media

Use water spray to cool fire-exposed containers. Use water spray, dry chemicals, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam.

5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture       May produce toxic fumes of carbon monoxide if burning.

5.3. Advice for firefighters       Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure- demand, MSHA/NIO (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. Will burn if involved in a fire. Flammable liquid and vapor

Accidental release measures

6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures       Wear a self contained breathing apparatus and appropriate personal protection. (See Exposure Controls, Personal Protection section). Remove all sources of ignition. Use a spark-proof tool.

6.2. Environmental precautions       Do not let this chemical enter the environment.

6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up       Absorb spill with inert material (vermiculite, sand or earth) and placed in container for disposal.

Handling and storage

7.1. Precautions for safe handling

Use spark-proof tools and explosion proof equipment. Do not breathe dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not ingest or inhale. Use only in a chemical fume hood.

7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities       Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Flammables-area. Store in a cool, dry place in a tightly closed container. For longer storage keep in refrigerator (0oC to 5oC ).
