Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the flammability of the test substance, according to EU Method A.10 (Flammability - solids). The aim of the experiment was to see whether the test substance would burn if in contact with a cutting torch. The substance was formed into an unbroken strip of about 25 cm long, 2 cm wide, and 1 cm high on a non-combustible brick. A hot flame from a gas burner was applied to one end of the strip until it ignited. After 75 seconds of burning the melt, the flames self-extinguished. Approx. 1/3 of the length had burned. Under the study conditions, the test substance was not considered as highly flammable and thus the burning rate test was skipped (Sohar, 2016).
