The test does not need to be conducted becasue no concerns on aquatic organisms arise from the chemical safety assessment. Moreover, the substance is readily biodegradable suggesting that it will not be available for the aquatic organisms for a long period. Furthermore, considering the high-water solubility of the substance the evaluation of the short-term toxicity to aquatic organisms is already considered as adequate. Considering the aforementioned, the long-term toxicity toaquatic invertebrates study does not need to be conducted.
