Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A hydrolysis study does not need to be performed due to the test substance being ready biodegradable.

No tests are available for photodegradation in air and photolysis in water.

Sodium dibutyldithiocarbamate is readily biodegradable under aerobic conditions, based on read-across to a structural analogue. No simulation tests are required.

An adsorption/desorption study does not need to be performed because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient (LogKow ≤ - 0.2 at 20°C and pH 7 - 9) and the adsorption potential of the substance is related to this parameter.
