Description of key information

The test substance did not show biodegradation during 28 days of incubation under the conditions provided by the OECD 301 A guideline.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Supporting studies with Benzenesulphonamide (BSA), the dechlorinated for of the substance indicate that this metabolite is readily biodegradable. Hence and in conclusion, should CAS 127 -52 -6 "trihydrate”be dechlorinated during use and/or discharge to STPs, the submission substance can be regarded biodegradable via its metabolites BSA.
