First-aid measures
Emergency measures: Expose victimized person to the fresh air. In case of suspicion of poisoning, seek medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water thorouhgly. Seek medical advice immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Rinse thoroughly by using large quantities of soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If the victimized person is conscious, administer medicinal charcoal with large quantities of water repeatedly. Seek medical advice.

Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each manufacturing site. Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.
Handling:
As the substance is an intermediate, which is being handled at completely controlled conditions at all times, generally no exposure of the workers to the substance is expected. Therefore, all of the measures described in the following refer to recommended activities to be undertaken in the unlikely case of accidental releases only.
Equipment with local exhaust ventilation, without return of the extracted air to the work atmosphere, must be used during incidentally occuring exposure scenarios. Likewise personal protective equipment must be worn. Moisten leaked/spilled material must be prevented from spreading. Spilled material shall be collected mechanically and filled into labelled containers (according to Technical Rule 201); storage in tightly closed containers only. Clean contaminated surfaces with an aqueous solution of caustic soda or soap. Contaminated water (e.g. from cleaning activities) shall be contained in order to prevent contamination of soil and ground water or nearby water bodies. Contaminated product cannot be reutilized; it is therefore suggested to dispose of the waste materials in an incineration plant. Containers contaminated with the substance shall be stored in salvage containers that are labelled accordingly. If cleaning and recycling of these containers is not possible they also have to be disposed of in an incineration plant.
Storage:
Protect against light and moisture. Store products in the original packing drums only. Secure containers against falling. Avoid product residues on the containers. Store separately from feed, food, alcohol and tobacco. VCI storage class 11.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure controls and personal protection:
In general, equipment with local exhaust ventilation, without return of the extracted air to the work atmosphere, shall be used (e.g. during sampling). If technical extraction or ventilation measures are not possible or are insufficient, respiratory protection must be worn, such as filtrating half-mask ABEK-P1. In order to avoid skin contact, tested gloves (rubber, plastic) are worn. Safe eye protection is required, i.e. protective goggles with lateral protection. The measures described above have been proven efficient for personal protection of the workers directly involved in the handling of the substance.
Industrial hygiene:
No eating, drinking or smoking in the work area. Contaminated clothing must be changed immediately. Cleaning of contaminated equipment or utensils with aqueous solutions of caustic soda or soap. Floors, walls and other surfaces must be cleaned immediately if incidentally contaminated.
