Method:

The water solubility of the test item was determined using the column elution method. The saturation mass concentration of the test itemwas determined using a LC-MS/MS-method.

Result of the Preliminary Test (non-GLP):


The water solubility of the test item was estimated to be below 10 mg/L.

Result of the Main Test:

The saturation concentration of the test item was determined using LC-MS/MS method.

The linearity of the analytical method was proved in the concentration range from 0.05 to 1 mg test item/L. The regression coefficient (r²) was determined to be at least 0.9995.

Corresponding to the analysis the water solubility of the test item at 20 ± 1 °C was determined to be 0.976 mg/L.

A study was conducted to determine the water solubility of 12 -hydroxystearic acid according to OECD Guideline 105.
