No hydrolysis observed at pH 4, 7 and 9.

Additional information

Hydrolysis is not expected to occur due to the lack of hydrolyzable functional groups. This hypothesis is supported by experimental results at different pH: no hydrolysis observed at pH 4, 7 and 9.

As a consequence 1,4-Diethylbenzene is not expected to undergo hydrolysis in the environment.
