Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Provide rest, warmth and fresh air. Get medical attention.
Ingestion: Drink plenty of water. Try to induce vomiting. Get medical attention. Rinse mouth thoroughly. NEVER MAKE AN UNCONSCIOUS PERSON VOMIT OR DRINK FLUIDS!
Skin contact: Remove affected person from source of contamination. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Get medical attention immediately!
Eye contact: Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids. Immediately flush with plenty of water for up to 15 minutes. Remove any contact lenses and open eyes wide apart. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Suitable:Fire can be extinguished using: Carbon dioxide (CO2). Foam. Dry chemicals, sand, dolomite etc.
Extinguishing media: Not suitable:Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Warn everybody of potential hazards and evacuate if necessary. Wear protective clothing as described in Section 8 of this safety data sheet. Avoid inhalation of vapours and contact with skin and eyes. Keep upwind.
Environmental precautions: Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground.
Methods for cleaning up; Small spill: Absorb spillage with suitable absorbent material.
Large spill: Dam and absorb spillage with sand, sawdust or other absorbent. Collect in containers and seal securely.

Handling and storage

Handling: Mechanical ventilation or local exhaust ventilation is required. Avoid inhalation of vapours/spray and contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Avoid contact with oxidising agents. Avoid contact with: Flammable/combustible material. Avoid contamination. Good personal hygiene is necessary. Wash hands and contaminated areas with water and soap before leaving the work site.
Storage: Store in tightly closed original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly sealed when not in use. Protect against direct sunlight. Avoid heat.
