Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A study was conducted (BASF AG 98L00765) according to OECD TG 107 to determine the partition coefficient octanol water of the test item. Using the shake flask method the concentration of the test item at 25 °C was determined via GC-FID in the 1-octanol and water phase at equilibrium. Using the average Pow of six individual trials the logPow was calculated to be 0.10 at 25 °C and pH = 11. Furthermore a study was conducted (BASF AG 22721) to determine the log Pow at environmentally relevant pH value. An phosphate buffer at pH=7 was used to adjust the pH value. Using the shake flask method the concentration of the test item in each phase at equilibrium was determined using GC-FID quantification via external standard. The test item concentration in the buffer solution was below the limit of detection of the analytical method. Thus the average log Pow of three individual trial was calculated to be < -3.1 at 25 °C and pH=7.2. Furthermore a study was conducted (BASF AG BRU 89.125) to determine the log Pow of the test item. Using the shake flask method the test item concentration was determined by titration. The average log Pow of three individual trials was calculated to be 0.13. No temperature data were provided in the report. In addition a study was conducted (BASF AG 21604) similar to OECD TG 107 to determine the log Pow. The test item concentration in each phase at equilibrium was determined using GC-FID quantification via external standard. The average log Pow of three individual trials was calculated to be 0.14 at pH = 11. All reported values are in the same range. A log Pow of 0.10 was chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment as it was from the most reliable study.
