Additional information

Stability:

Diisopropylbenzene (DIPB) does not undergo significant abiotic hydrolysis.

Biodegradation:

Biodegradation in a ready biodegradation study showed only 3 % degradation over three days, but this is likley affected by the substances low water solubility (<0.1 mg/L).

Bioconcentration:

No data reported

Transport and distribution:

DIPB also has a relatively high log Koc value of 3.8 suggesting a tendency to sorb to soils and sediments.
