Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
70.7 °C
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 013 hPa

Three DSC measurements with a heating rate of 10 K/min in showed an endothermal effect (melting) in the temperature range of 55 -85°C. The onset temperature was derived from the intersection of tangent line with the highest slope of the endothermal peak with the baseline. The Test item had a melting point of 70.7°C.

Description of key information

The melting point /melting range are determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) according to EU Method A.1 and OECD Guideline 102. The test item 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde had melted at 70.7°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
70.7 °C
