Administrative data

First-aid measures

Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical advice.

Skin contact: Wash off immediately with plenty of water. Seek medical advice.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air immediately. Get medical attention immediately.

Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons: Do NOT use water jet.

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Hazardous decomposition products: In case of fire hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as; Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx).

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Refer to protective measures listed in Exposure controls/Personal protection.

Avoid dust formation. Fine dust dispersed in air may ignite.

Environmental precautions: Try to prevent the material from entering drains or water courses.

Methods for cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material and dispose of as hazardous waste.

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid dust formation. Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid exceeding of the given occupational exposure limits. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Storage: Keep tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
