Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The substance has not to be classified as readily combustible solid according UN transport classification (class 4.1) and to EG 440/2008.
No combustible solid according to EU-GHS/CLP (EG 1272/2008).
Executive summary:

The substance was tested for flammability according to VDI 2263 sheet 1. After ignition of the substance pile at room temperature with a flame first melting and then a brown coloration was observed combined with a short flame.

Using a hot platinum wire as ignition source first melting and then black coloration was observed combined with local burning.

In both cases, after removal of the ignition source, no propargation of the flame was observed.

Therefore, the combustion behaviour of the substance can be rated with combustion index 3 = local burning or smoldering with no or only minimal propargation of the flame
