Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The log Koc value has been determined in a study according to OECD guideline 121. For calibration of the HPLC test system a mixture of six selected reference substance has been used.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
25.1

Additional information

With regard to the listed trigger values for sediment and soil effects assessment in the TGD on data requirements R.7a and the determined adsorption coefficient it can be assumed that Benzoguanamine is unlikely to adsorb to sediment or soil. In addition, Benzoguanamine can be classified as very mobile in soil according to McCall classification scheme. The experimental value of the OECD study is supported by an estimation using the KOWWIN (v.2.00) module of the US Episuite (v.4.10).

Based on these screening results no further testing on adsorption/desorption is being proposed as according to Annex IX of the REACH Regulation a low potential for adsorption can be assumed.
