The substance was tested for flammability according to VDI 2263 sheet 1. When applying a flame as ignition source the substance melted and no ignition was observed. When using a hot platinum wire as ignition source the sample also melted. After tipping the platinum wire into the molten mass a short ignition was observed but no propargation of a flame occured.
The combustion behaviour of the substance can be characterized with Ignition Number 2: short flame and rapid extinction.
