Description of key information
Pentaerythritol tetranitrate is a highly explosive organic compound belonging to the same chemical family as nitroglycerin and nitrocellulose. According to Annex VI to CLP, this substance is covered by entries 603-035-00-5 (Unst. Expl., H200) and 603-035-01-2 (Expl. 1.1, H201). PETN impact and friction sensitivities are 3 N m and 60 N, respectively (five times more sensitive than TNT).
