Exporting PIC chemicals in 2017? Submit your notification now

Remember to submit your notifications for 2017 exports as soon as possible so that national EU authorities and ECHA have enough time to process them. By notifying early enough, you will be less likely to experience delays with your exports. When preparing your notification, we ask you to give more detailed information about the importer. For example, up-to-date contact details with a full street address will help the authorities in the receiving country process your notification faster. In addition, remember to attach the safety data sheet for the exported chemical in the appropriate language.

Evaluation of industry’s and ECHA’s work on supply chain communication: time to start using the tools

An external evaluation on how industry, Member States and ECHA have improved supply chain communication in 2013-16 through the CSR/ES Roadmap and Exchange Network on Exposure Scenarios (ENES) is now available. The key finding was that industry now has improved tools at its disposal, such as sector use maps, to improve safe use information communicated between manufacturers and users of chemicals. Now is the time to start using them. The evaluation also suggests how companies can further improve the communication and how ECHA and Member States can help in this from 2017 onwards.
