New CLH consultation launched on methylhydrazine

ECHA has started a public consultation on the harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposal for methylhydrazine (EC 200-471-4). It is mainly used as a solvent and a rocket propellant, either as a single constituent, or mixed with other hydrazines. It is also an organic intermediate. The substance does not yet have harmonised classification and the dossier submitter, the Netherlands, proposes classification for carcinogenicity.

The deadline for submitting comments on the proposal is 2 January 2015.
