Description of key information
The partition coefficient (log Pow) of the substance was determined to be -3.05 at 25°C at pH 5 for the pure substance.
The substance is an organic salt of strong base NaOH and weak acid and hence it dissociates 100 % in water solution and its log Kow depends on the property of the related acid. Therefore a log Kow of -2.87 was calculated for the acidic form.

The test item is a salt and dissociates in water. Its ionic structure exists at low acidic pH-values outside the ecologically relevant pH-range of 5 to 9. On the other hand, the substance hydrolyses rapidly at pH > 7. Therefore the partition coefficient of the substance was determined by the Shake Flask Method at a pH-value of 5.
