Description of key information

The main constituents of reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene do not contain functional groups that are easily hydrolized. Consequently, they are considered as resistant to hydrolysis. Hydrolysis will not contribute to the degradation of the test item in the environment.

The main constituents of reaction mass of DIPE and 2-methylpent-2-ene do not contain functional groups that are easily hydrolized. Consequently, they are considered as resistant to hydrolysis (1, 2).

Hydrolysis will not contribute to the degradation of the test item in the environment. Further testing is not required in accordance with Annex XI of REACH, section 1.2 and 2.
