Additional information

According to Column 2 (section 7.13) of REACH Annex VII, a study on oxidizing properties does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, for example on the basis of the chemical structure (e.g. organic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms and these elements are not chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen, or inorganic substances not containing oxygen or halogen atoms). See also ECHA endpoint specific guidance Chapter R.7a (Nov-2012, page 112). Since this is applicable to the test substance, the study on oxidising properties shall be waived.

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are no structural alerts within the chemical structures of the test item. Therefore, the oxidizing properties of the test item have been predicted negative.
