In the key study (Tarran, 2012), the density of the test material was
determined in accordance with GLP and the standardised guidelines EU
Method A.3 and OECD 109 using the pycnometer method. Under the
conditions of the study, the density of the test material was determined
to be 1.05 x 10³ kg/m³ and the relative density 1.05, both at 20.0 ±
0.5ºC. This study was performed to a good standard with a sufficient
level of detail to assess the reliability of the data submitted.
Accordingly the study was assigned a reliability score of 1, in line
with the principles for assessing data quality set out in Klimisch
Values for density and relative density of the test material are
reported on various databases. All the presented values are in good
agreement with each other, and with the result determined in the key
study and, as such, are provided as supporting data. Both supporting
studies have been assigned a Klimisch (1997) score of 4, as it was not
possible to assess the reliability of the data.
