Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Studies on the biodegradation of the substance are not available. The presented data refer to a structural analogue of the substance.

It can be concluded from the available screening tests performed with the structural analogue that the substance exhibits inherent (primary) biodegradability, and is therefore not expected to persist indefinitely in the environment

In an OECD 301F (manometric ready biodegradability) study on Ethyleneamine, propoxylated, 9% mineralisation after 28 days was observed based on oxygen consumption (Bayer, 1993). The substance exhibited inherent (primary) biodegradability in OECD 302/302B, EU C.4.D/C.9; mineralisation was ranging from 20 -36% after 28 days based on DOC removal (Bayer AG, 2002). Comparable degradation rates are exptected for CAS 102-60-3.
