Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Boiling points of the two organic constituents are: 197.4 and 244.9C.

According to the criteria for adaptation of the testing rules, a boiling point determination is not required for substances with a melting point above 300C - therefore a boiling point for the sodium acetate component is not required.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
197.4 °C

Additional information

The lowest of the key values is chosen as a conservative estimate of the boiling point of this multicomponent substance. Sodium acetate, as an inorganic substance, will not have a lower boiling point than either of the organic components and can therefore be ignored for determining the critical value for this end point.
