In a guideline-compliant study, conducted according to GLP, platinum(II) tetraammine diacetate was found to have no oxidising properties. The maximum measured burning rate (1.68 mm/s for a 10:90 test item:cellulose mixture) was less than the maximum burning rate of the reference mixture (2.86 mm/s for a 70:30 barium nitrate:cellulose mixture).
