Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
hydrolysis
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is readily biodegradable
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In accordance with REACH Annex VIII column 2, the study does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily biodegradable. In addition, the substance contains no organic functional groups that may hydrolyze under environmental condition like alkyl halides, amides, amines, epoxides, esters. The substance consists only of organic functional groups that are relatively or completely inert with respect of hydrolysis. Based on the chemical structure an estimation of the hydrolysis rate is not possible. Furthermore, the results of the daphnia study allows to conclude that the substance does not hydrolysis. The measured levels of the substance at the end of the test were lower than those at the start but only by a small amount. This small decrease could have been due to adsorption by the vessel.
