All correction and assessment factors were taken from the ECHA guidance document "Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment; Chapter R.10: Characterisation of dose [concentration]-response for environment.

Equilibrium partitioning for PNECsediment (freshwater and marine water) and PNECsoil was conducted using the EUSES (version 2.1.2) tool which was considered to be both applicable to the substance type (Phenols) and also adequately fulfills the regulatory endpoint (REACH). The model is fully validated for the substance type (Phenols) and is therefore of a suitable reliability to predict the PNEC values.

Conclusion on classification

Based upon the results of the key studies for fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae the registered substance does not meet the criteria for classification according to EC Regulation 1272/2008.
